Are You Requesting a Catering Proposal for Your Summer Wedding in December?

By on Dec 1, 2008, 9:16 am in Celebrations, Pet Peeves and Rants, Seasonal Celebrations, Small Pleasures Catering | 0 comments

The recent popularity of websites that feed leads to caterers has given me the opportunity to see just how many people post requests for wedding catering, needed 6 to 8 or even up to 16 to 18 months away, during November and December.

Really, ladies (and gents)! I have to tell you that your caterer will not be able to give you the attention you truly deserve when planning such special occasion during the holiday season. Better to contact a caterer in August, or September.  In a year like this one, everyone is waiting until the last minute to book their holiday parties, and in years when money is flowing freely, caterers are in the throws of heavy production just about now.

Okay, so I know a lot of you get engaged around the holidays. Even better! Contact prospective caterers in January when the phones have stopped ringing, nothing is going on, and they have all the time in the world to give you.

Wedding parties, and their proposals, require a lot of TLC. So give us the opportunity to give it to you.
